Helping An Organization Get More From Sage 300

We’re excited to announce that Advisory IS Solutions (AIS) has recently been engaged to support another Sage 300 customer with improving and optimizing their existing ERP environment.

While ERP conversations often focus on implementing or replacing systems, a new ERP isn’t always the answer. In many cases, organizations already have a system capable of supporting their business, but it may not be configured effectively, workflows may have evolved outside the system, or manual processes may have developed over time.

For this engagement, AIS will be working with the client to identify opportunities to improve their Sage 300 configuration, streamline workflows, and enhance how the system supports day-to-day business processes.

Getting More From the System You Already Have

As organizations grow and change, their ERP environment does not always evolve with them. Processes that once worked well may become inefficient, users may develop workarounds, and spreadsheets, emails, or other manual tools can gradually become part of critical business processes.

AIS will work with the client to review their current Sage 300 environment and identify opportunities to:

  • Improve existing Sage 300 configuration
  • Streamline and standardize business processes
  • Improve workflows and approval processes
  • Reduce unnecessary manual activities and workarounds
  • Improve reporting and access to information
  • Identify opportunities for automation
  • Address gaps between current processes and system capabilities
  • Develop recommendations for continued improvement

One of the most important questions organizations should ask is “Are we getting everything we can from the ERP we already have?”

At AIS, our role is to provide an independent assessment of the environment and recommend the path that makes the most sense for the organization. The objective is to ensure technology is supporting the business rather than creating additional work for it.

For organizations already using platforms such as Sage 300, there can be significant value in stepping back and evaluating how the system is being used before making a major technology investment.

Sometimes the best ERP strategy isn’t starting over. It’s making what you already have work better.
